Trust in an Era of Change: The Electoral History of Belarus (2001–2025) is the first comprehensive reconstruction of electoral dynamics and public trust in Belarus over the past 25 years.
By integrating archival data from the Institute of Sociology of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus (2001–2022) with independent research (Chatham House, iSANS, 2023–2025), the report traces the long-term transformation of Belarusian society — from polarized authoritarianism in the early 2000s to political fatalism in the mid-2020s.
The study demonstrates that elections gradually lost their function as a mechanism of political influence and became administrative rituals. More importantly, it reveals deeper structural changes in mass consciousness following the trauma of 2020–2021, leading to a new configuration combining emotional burnout, adaptive loyalty and political fatalism.
